Researchers at University of Quebec found that a “staggering” number of young adults (18-35 years of age) already have plaque build-up in their arteries.
Even more surprising, the participants of the study had no risk factors and were considered very healthy prior to the study.
This information is invaluable. It should make us re-think our definition of “young and healthy” and that it is never too early to start taking care of our health! Start by encouraging your kids to eat more fruits, vegetables and lean meats and decreasing sugary drinks (one of the primary causes of childhood obesity).
